Clinical Application of Angiocardiography

HENRY K. TAYLOR M.D., F.C.C.P.1

1 Roentgenologist, Goldwater Memorial Hospital.

The clinical value of angiocardiography for the demonstration of anomalies and the differential diagnosis between vascular and nonvascular mediastinal lesions is presented. Three congenital anomalies are presented through the courtesy of Dr. A. Castellanos. Five case histories are presented illustrating, (1) an aneurysm of the arch of the aorta; (2) a localized segmental dilatation in the descending aorta; (3) an aneurysm of the innominate or left carotid artery; (4) a nonvascular lesion; and (5) following surgery for coarctation of the aorta.
