Trachiectasis with Tracheocele: Report of Case in Which a Tracheocele was Resected

A patient with a chronic cough productive of purulent sputum, with sudden paroxysms of coughing and recurrent episodes of chills and fever [SEE THE FIGURE IN SOURCE PDF]was found to have trachiectasis with a tracheocele. The tracheocele was [SEE THE FIGURE 3A, 3B & 3C IN SOURCE PDF) resected to eliminate "dumping" of purulent secretion into the tracheobronchial tree.
