Incidence of Chronic Pulmonary Disease Among Patients with Esophageal Disorders

A study of 100 patients with esophageal pathology has been presented. Twenty-two patients had chronic pulmonary disease. This study was undertaken not to prove cause and effect relationship, but to bring out the high incidence of transadital aspiration type of pneumonitis in esophageal disease.
