The Clinical Application of Paper Electrophoresis in Sarcoidosis

A Preliminary Report

The electrophoretic patterns of the sera of 25 patients with sarcoidosis were compared with the patterns obtained in 31 persons suffering from other diseases. Only in the cases of sarcoidosis were we able to find a characteristic mean electrophoretic pattern that is a increase in the alpha 2, beta and a marked increase in the gamma globulin while the albumin showed a decrease.
