1 Children's Sanatorium
After discussing the disturbance mechanisms which lead to ventilation and diffusion disturbances, the causes of distribution disturbances and of limitation of the diffusion capacity are touched upon. Such respiratory insufficiencies can be differentiated by analyzing the gases present in the blood. In order to avoid the efforts connected with thisnot to mention the necessary consent of the patienta method was developed which allows the diagnosis, without a blood test, of distribution and diffusion disturbances by using the URAS to determine the CO2 in the expiratory air, by using the Cyclop for oximetry, as well as by application of cytochrome C (Cytomack).
