Chemoprophylaxis of Tuberculosis

Report of the Committee on Chemotherapy and Antibiotics and American College of Chest Physicians

It must be emphasized that the foregoing recommendations merely represent the consensus of a group of interested individuals. The conclusions reached may be altered in whole or in part by subsequent experience. The recommendations are largely guideposts to be applied to and modified for individual patients, clinical indications and communities. The economic status, motivation, cooperation and psychologic reaction of the patient must enter into any consideration of chemoprophylaxis.
