A comparative study has been carried out between the results of the investigation of M. tuberculosis and its drug sensitivity (to SM, INH and PAS) in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis hospitalized in Tránsito Cáceres de Allende Hospital (Córdoba, Argentina) from 1959 to July 31, 1962 and who were investigated first at the time of admission, then during the preoperative period and finally a bacteriologic study was performed on the resected material corresponding to the same patients.

The bacteriology of the resected material and the results of the inoculation into guinea pigs of this material are also subjected to a comparative study.
