The present study showed the in vitro bacteriostatic or bactericidal effect of thiotepa and the mechlorethamine hydrochloride (Mustargen).
The effective concentration is 10 µg. per cent with thio-tepa and 20 µg. per cent with mechlorethamine hydrochloride.
Lower concentrations of those drugs were found less effective.
The contact of alkylating agents with tubercle bacilli was maintained for ten minutes.
