In a study of 1200 consecutive, complete, and bilateral bronchograms, 27 major anomalies were found in 24 patients. There was a disproportion of three abnormalities on the left to 24 on the right. In the three patients with double anomalies, each had one with a tracheal involvement. One hundred and five minor anomalies were found and are listed. They were divided into 52 on the right and 53 on the left.
Approximately 10 per cent of patients undergoing bronchography presented some form of tracheobronchial anomaly.
