Primary myocardial sarcoidosis has been reported in 45 cases. The disease resulted in a protean clinical manifestation: conduction disturbance, cardiac arrhythmias and congestive heart failure occurred in this order.
Steroid therapy, when used early in the course of the disease, is believed to be beneficial in reversing the cardiac lesion.
