Metyrapone Test during Gangliopulmonary Sarcoidosis

Eighteen patients suffering from sarcoidosis and 12 cases with lung diseases without signs of sarcoidosis were investigated with metyrapone test.

The increase in 17-KGS excretion showed considerable individual variation in both groups and there was no significant difference between the groups statistically.

The fact that there is a discrepancy between our results and those obtained by Brun et al may be explained by the fact that different analytic methods were used in the steroid estimations.
