Meningococcal Meningitis and Meningococcemia Associated with Pulmonary Infiltrates and Hemoptysis

A case of meningococcemia, meningitis and a pulmonary infiltrate with hemoptysis has been presented. The significance of the infiltrate has been discussed and a brief review of the literature on meningococcal pneumonia has been included. A brief discussion of the therapy of meningococcemia based on pathophysiologic evidence is included.
