While the exact etiology of allergic granulomatous lung disease has not been established, various fungi or fungus products have received the most attention. A worker exposed to an intense inhaled innoculum of glucose oxidase, a glycoprotein extract of Aspergillus niger, is presented who developed a clinical and pathologic picture similar to farmer's lung.
