Talc Pneumoconiosis: A Treated Case

Robert L. Moskowitz M.D.1

1 Instructor in Clinical Medicine, State University of New York (Downstate)

The case of a young woman with pneumoconiosis due to chronic aerosol inhalation is reported. It was evident from both x-ray films and biopsy studies that the lung showed both granulomatous (early) and fibrotic (late) changes. The patient showed marked subjective as well as objective evidence of improvement after treatment with prednisone.
