False Aneurysm of Thoracic Aorta Secondary To Erosion By Lucite Sphere Prosthesis: Successful Repair

A patient is presented with false aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta caused by erosion through the aortic wall of a Lucite sphere. Successful repair was performed using extracorporeal circulation. This is the first reported instance of such a complication of Lucite sphere prosthesis.
