1 Division of Cardiology (Medicine) and the Department of Pathology, Chicago Medical School and The Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Chicago
The case of a 65-year-old man with atrial septal defect and constrictive pericarditis is presented. Complete diagnosis was made after autopsy. The clinical diagnosis of constriction was made during life while that of the congenital defect was missed because of incomplete catheterization data. This unusual combination of lesion is reviewed.
