Coronary Artery Surgery in Patients with Impaired Left Ventricular Function

Patients with moderate ventricular impairment can be operated on with relative safety (8 percent mortality) with an expectation of clinical improvement in the majority. The decision whether to operate on a patient with severe left ventricular dysfunction must be made on an individual basis.
