Patients with ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysms may not have the dramatic symptoms previously emphasized; six asymptomatic patients are reported. Besides a continuous murmur, dicrotic pulses were present in all these patients. Passage of the heart catheter through the ruptured sinus occurred in four patients. Simultaneous aortotomy and right atriotomy are recommended for repair of ruptures in the right atrium.
