Two patients required temporary transvenous right ventricular pacing for control of advanced A-V block. Striking ST segment depression and T wave inversion occurred in subsequent unpaced electrocardiograms. These changes can simulate myocardial infarction and are probably due to ventricular depolarization from an abnormal site.
