Pseudopulsus Paradoxus

A patient with cyclic variation in blood pressure secondary to A-V dissociation with fortuitous relation to respiratory cycle is presented. The pathophysiologic mechanisms of true and "pseudo" pulsus paradoxus and criteria for diagnosis are reviewed.
