Implantation Transfer of Pulmonary Carcinoma to the Trachea: A Complication of Percutaneous Catheter Brush Biopsy

Percutaneous, translaryngeal catheter approach to a pulmonary lesion for brush biopsy resulted in implantation transfer of a squamous cell carcinoma from the lung to the trachea. Although this appears to be a unique situation at the time of this writing, it is recorded as a caution to bronchial brushing.
