Five cases of pseudolymphoma were reviewed. Each of two patients had a solitary mass and were well three and five years after follow-up. Three had diffuse interstitial disease that showed varying progression. One is asymptomatic without evidence of progression after six years of follow-up. She received no treatment. One patient with evidence of progression and symptoms but without evidence of lymphoma is being treated with immunosuppressive drugs. Lymphocytic lymphoma developed in one patient only six months after diagnosis of pseudolymphoma. We feel that an unequivocal diagnosis of pseudolymphoma using present pathologic criteria cannot be made. New criteria are needed.
