These two case reports emphasize that delays in diagnosis of bronchogenic carcinoma may occur in patients with heart disease because of a similarity in symptoms. Only by maintaining a high index of suspicion in patients with heart disease can the diagnosis of bronchogenic carcinoma be established at an early age.
