Mycotic Aneurysms of the Pulmonary Artery

We present the case of a patient with a mycotic aneurysm of the pulmonary artery and lower lobe branch, secondary to bacterial endarteritis in patent ductus arteriosus. The clinical features are classic, with death resulting from massive hemoptysis, emphasizing the importance of early surgical therapy.
