New Expiratory Peak Flow Meter: Preliminary Report

A new instrument designed for the measurement of expiratory peak flow rate is described. Its main features are small size, light weight, simplicity, accuracy, and low cost. The measurements made with this instrument were found to be in good agreement with the Wright peak flow meter. The instrument is suited to a wide variety of clinical applications.
