A Successfully treated patient with aortic root and aortic valve injury caused by blunt trauma is reported. Two years prior to the blunt injury, he experienced a documented aortic dissection at the level of the left subclavian artery. This was shown to have completely healed in the interim. We found that early cineangiography and cardiac catheterization greatly facilitated the management of this patient.
