Subcutaneous Implantation of Cancer following Thoracentesis

The second case of subcutaneous implantation of cancer following thoracentesis is reported. This type of metastasis has also been seen with percutaneous needle biopsy of the pleura or lung. This potential complication does not contraindicate thoracentesis.
