Joanna Floros, Professor Penn State Univ College of Medicine Send letter to journal: Re: Reference Correction jfloros{at}psu.edu Joanna Floros	The correct citation for any referencing or discussion of the SP-B 1580C/T polymorphism(and by the way not mutation as noted in the paper) in ARDS is ref #27 Lin et al and not Ref # 16 as noted on page 204 second column and on page 209 first column. There is a mispelling in the name of the second author of the Lin et al ref#27 --the name is Pearson and not Oearson. Also the minus sign in front of the 1580C/T polymorphism is incorrect. On page 204 second column "...In one study, the frequency of the the insertion/deletion variants in intron 4...among 15 ARDS....", the paper that addresses ARDS and intron 4 is ref #26 and it should have been cited, along with ref # 24. In the following sentence ref 15 seems to be incorrectly cited as well.
