Hello , while I was reading this article I remember my studies dating back to 2001. I had studied 31 patients with lung lesions suspicious of cancer in 2001 when I was doing my MD in India. I myself have done 17 needle biopsies and 14 were successful in clinching the tissue diagnosis. It also revealed the changing trend towards more of non-small cell lung cancer. the complication rate was about 5%. As technology has advanced nowadays people rarely do blind biopsies. Many thanks Dr.Subramanian Nallasivan Trust grade doctor in Chest Medicine. THE IPSWICH HOSPITAL NHS TRUST UNITED KINGDOM.
